INVESTING IN MONTANA'S FUTURE

Whether a lifelong resident, a recent transplant, a sometimes visitor, or a dreamer, you probably are captivated by this region’s stunning landscapes, free-flowing waterways, and habitats richly endowed with fish and wildlife. These precious assets are not here by accident, nor can they be sustained without effort. Geographically, our region includes the headwaters of some of America’s great rivers of legend — the Yellowstone, the Madison, the Jefferson, the Missouri, the Flathead, the Clark Fork, the Kootenai, and the Milk.

To this end, the Cinnabar Foundation came into being after the time of America's first wave of progressive conservationists who worked tirelessly to preserve this land for the "generations still within the womb of time." Perhaps most significantly, Cinnabar is the only conservation foundation focused exclusively on Montana, and we are keenly aware of this responsibility. Presently, the assets in the Cinnabar Foundation's permanent conservation fund exceed $9.8 million.

The Cinnabar Foundation is uniquely qualified and positioned to sustain the effort required to ensure these treasures are passed on to future generations because we know and partner with individuals, organizations, University of Montana Environmental Studies Program, and other foundations that carry forward the ethic of American conservation.

Ongoing support for environmental issues in Montana will continue to grow with help of others who share this ethic. We invite you to partner with us. To discuss how you might best do this, contact:

“The promise the Foundation holds for Montana is exciting. Its long-term stability is guaranteed by virtue of Leonard and Sandy’s vision and generosity. For the present, an opportunity to help build this legacy is before us. With each passing day, the hope for a better future rises in Montana people like a prairie sunrise. The goal of the Cinnabar Foundation is to nurture that hope. That hope can and will be sustained. Contributions to the Cinnabar Foundation will guarantee it.”
