BOARD AND STAFF

The Cinnabar Foundation Board of Directors currently consists of four members: 
  • Grant Parker, General Counsel to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation specializing in land and habitat conservation, natural resources and nonprofit law, serves as the Foundation board president; (Missoula, Montana); 
  • Judi Stauffer, an artist and community activist, and wife of the late Rick Hubbard Sargent, sustains the Sargent family’s environmental ethic and board representation, and serves as vice president (Santa Ynez Valley, California).
  • Duane Moulton, a partner in the accounting firm Holmes & Turner, serves as treasurer and oversees the Foundation’s financial records (Bozeman, Montana); and
  • Teresa Erickson, Senior Advisor at Northern Plains Resource Council, serves as board secretary (Billings, Montana).

Emeritus Directors
  • Robin Tawney Nichols, a writer and community activist, served as the Foundation board president for many years and now serves as board member emeritus (Missoula, Montana);
  • Gordon (Corky) Brittan, a rancher, environmental entrepreneur and Regents Professor at MSU, serves as board member emeritus (Livingston, Montana); 
  • Ernest Turner, a partner in the accounting firm Holmes & Turner, serves as board member emeritus and manages the Foundation’s assets (Bozeman, Montana); and
  • Jim Posewitz (deceased), was a conservationist, educator, founding Cinnabar Foundation board member, and Cinnabar's first executive director.  Following his retirement as an active board member, Jim served as board member emeritus until his death in July 2020.
