LEN AND SANDY SARGENT STEWARDSHIP AWARDS
In 1997, the Cinnabar Foundation experienced the very worst of hard times. Before that dark year ended, health problems had claimed both Len and Sandy Sargent. In 1999, to aid our own emotional recovery and to keep the memory of the Foundation’s founders alive and vigorous within the Montana conservation community, the Cinnabar board established the Len and Sandy Sargent Stewardship Award program.
Presented from time to time, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, this award recognizes outstanding volunteer engagement through environmental advocacy, preservation, education and philanthropy within the Montana and Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. |
The award includes a framed letter recognizing the recipient and a special monetary grant they designate to one or more nonprofit conservation organization(s) working in Montana or the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, which has benefited from the recipient’s efforts and whose mission is in keeping with the purpose of the Cinnabar Foundation.
